Quiet Day in Tivoli

today is the last quiet day before overseas wedding guests arrive - aka hell week...

we had lunch at my cousins house. omg i thought my pants were going to explode. they gave me a mountain of pasta! good for 3 people - at least.

back to nonna's for a rest and then out again to a little community festival. this town's already small enough... but apparently they still have mini festivals for the neighbourhoods.
they had music, dancing, vendors and food. they would switch back from old people line dancing music, to young tweens reggaeton music. i think that's the new style of music and dance here.

mmmm these ladies were making these donut pizza things.

i'm sure there's an actual name, but i didn't ask.

plus i didn't care since i just wanted to eat it.

soooo good.

then we headed over to villa d'este. every sunday this summer they've been holding concerts. tonight was Beethoven's Fifth. and it was free! it was a nice little show. only about 100 people were able to attend.
villa d'este

the rest of the night was spent finishing up the confetti and bombonieri. we finished at about 2:30am. so tiring. and boring. i could never work in a factory or assembly line!

now for a good nights sleep before a week of chaos. 5 more days!
